Design for Accessible Educational Aids Crash Course
Students use computer-aided design (CAD) to create a unique 3D-printed tactile educational tool that can help teach STEM concepts to students who are blind, have learning disabilities, or just enjoy learning with physical objects! The puzzle boxes are produced and donated to a local special education partner and featured here for others to use.
This course was offered virtually on Saturdays in March and April 2021, as part of the BWSI Crash Course program. These courses are for 9th and 10th graders interested in engineering but don't have access to such programs in their schools.
Note that documentation for student projects is incomplete for this course because public project documentation was a post-course pilot.
